About Roy Ayers Ubiquity
Roy Ayers Ubiquity is an American jazz-funk and soul group formed in 1970 by vibraphonist, singer and composer Roy Ayers. The group became known for groove-led recordings including “Everybody Loves the Sunshine,” “Searching” and “Running Away,” and for albums such as Everybody Loves the Sunshine and Lifeline.
The group’s 1972 appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival was issued as a live album, documenting its early concert repertoire before its best-known mid-1970s recordings. Roy Ayers led the set on vibraphone and vocals.
