About Said The Whale
Said The Whale is a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Vancouver in 2007 by songwriters Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester. The group is known for songs including “Camilo (The Magician)” and “I Love You,” as well as the albums Islands Disappear and Little Mountain. Said The Whale received the Juno Award for New Group of the Year in 2011.
The band’s first US tour in 2010 was documented in the film Winning America and took the musicians to SXSW in Austin. The following year, they performed at the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
