About Sango
Sango is an American producer and DJ born in Seattle and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He makes instrumental hip-hop and R&B-inflected electronic music, often using rhythms drawn from Brazilian baile funk. His catalog includes the albums North and In the Comfort Of, the Da Rocinha series and collaborations with Smino and SPZRKT.
Sango has performed DJ sets at Soulection events and recorded a set for Boiler Room. His live history also includes Coachella, where his beat-driven productions moved into a major festival setting.
