Onra is a French producer whose instrumental hip-hop draws on soul, funk, boogie and electronic music. He is best known for the Chinoiseries series, built around records collected in China and Vietnam, and for tracks including “The Anthem.” Long Distance explored 1980s-inspired R&B and boogie through collaborations with vocalists such as Reggie B.

Onra has performed his sample-based instrumentals using samplers and keyboards, reshaping material from Chinoiseries and Long Distance for the stage. A Boiler Room performance in London documented this live beat-set format.
