Shalosh in Karlsruhe

Shalosh is an Israeli instrumental jazz trio built around piano, double bass and drums. Its music draws on modern jazz, rock and classical composition, and the group is known for albums including The Bell Garden, Rules of Oppression, Onwards and Upwards and Broken Balance. Shalosh began touring outside Israel around the material on The Bell Garden and Rules of Oppression. Its later European concert history includes Ronnie Scott’s in London and the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, where the musicians performed in their established piano-trio format. The show centers on original instrumental compositions and interaction among the three players. The concert lineup is pianist Gadi Stern, bassist David Michaeli and drummer Matan Assayag.
