About Slagerij Van Kampen
Slagerij Van Kampen is a Dutch percussion ensemble formed in Eindhoven in 1982. The group plays instrumental music written for multiple drummers and percussionists, and is known for albums including Out of the Doldrums and A Long Walk on a Short Pier.
Slagerij Van Kampen toured theatres across the Netherlands with productions centered on tightly arranged ensemble drumming. Several percussionists perform the composed pieces together, a format used for theatre programs including Lipstick on the Mice and Toccata da Fuga.
