Steve Gunn in Los Angeles

Steve Gunn is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, in 1977. His music draws on folk, indie rock and American guitar traditions, and his solo catalogue includes the albums Way Out Weather, Eyes on the Lines, The Unseen in Between and Other You. He is also known for his time as a guitarist in Kurt Vile’s backing band, the Violators. Before concentrating on tours under his own name, Gunn performed with Kurt Vile and the Violators. He later toured his solo records with both small bands and unaccompanied guitar sets, and brought a compact ensemble to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.
