Steve Ignorant in Hitchin

Steve Ignorant is an English punk vocalist who co-founded the anarcho-punk band Crass with Penny Rimbaud in 1977. His voice is closely associated with Crass records including The Feeding of the 5000 and Stations of the Crass, and songs such as “Do They Owe Us a Living?” and “Big A Little A.” He later performed with Schwartzeneggar and Stratford Mercenaries. His 2007 concert The Feeding of the 5000 at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London revisited the first Crass album in full. The Last Supper tour followed in 2010 and 2011, and he later returned to the catalogue with Steve Ignorant’s Crass Songs 1977–1984, performed by a full band at venues and punk festivals including Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
