Streetheart in Ottawa

Streetheart is a Canadian hard-rock band formed in Regina in 1977 and closely associated with singer Kenny Shields. The group is known for “Action,” “Hollywood,” “What Kind of Love Is This” and its versions of the Rolling Stones’ “Under My Thumb” and Small Faces’ “Tin Soldier.” Streetheart spent decades touring Canadian clubs, theatres and arenas behind Shields. After his death in 2017, the band and invited musicians honored him at the One Night One Life concert at Winnipeg’s Burton Cummings Theatre. Streetheart later resumed performing, and Paul McNair took the lead-vocal role alongside longtime guitarist Jeff Neill.
