Sunnyboys are an Australian power-pop band formed in Sydney in 1979, led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Jeremy Oxley. Their brisk guitar songs include “Alone with You,” “Happy Man” and “Show Me Some Discipline,” while the albums Sunnyboys and Individuals established their early catalogue. In 1980, the band made its first public appearance at the Ocean Beach Hotel in Coogee and went on to tour nationally. The original lineup reunited at the Hoodoo Gurus-curated Dig It Up! festival in 2012, appearing under the name Kids in Dust before resuming headline performances as Sunnyboys. Their later run culminated in The Last Dance tour in 2023. The band’s Australian shows have included theatre-sized and large music venues, among them The Tivoli in Brisbane and Forum Melbourne.
