Terri Lyne Carrington & L'Rain in Philadelphia

Terri Lyne Carrington is an American jazz drummer, composer, producer and bandleader, born in Medford, Massachusetts, in 1965. Her work ranges across post-bop, jazz fusion and vocal jazz; key albums include the Grammy-winning The Mosaic Project and Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, as well as New Standards Vol. 1. At age ten, Terri Lyne Carrington gave an early major performance at the Wichita Jazz Festival with Clark Terry. She later toured with Stan Getz and Wayne Shorter, then played drums with Herbie Hancock on the Future 2 Future project and its concert dates.

L'Rain is the experimental music project of American artist and multi-instrumentalist Taja Cheek, based in Brooklyn, New York. Her art pop draws on psychedelic soul, ambient textures, loops and layered vocals. The project debuted with the self-titled album L'Rain, followed by Fatigue and I Killed Your Dog. In 2022, L'Rain supported Animal Collective on North American dates. The following year, the project opened for Big Thief at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
