The Blessed Madonna in Porto

The Blessed Madonna is the stage name of American DJ and producer Marea Stamper, who performed as The Black Madonna until 2020. She plays house, disco and techno, and is known for tracks including “He Is the Voice I Hear” and “Serotonin Moonbeams,” the Dua Lipa remix project Club Future Nostalgia, and her debut album Godspeed. Her long association with Smartbar in Chicago included work as both a resident DJ and the club’s talent buyer. In 2018, she began a three-month residency at XOYO in London, bringing her house-led sets to an extended run of club nights. Her festival appearances have included Glastonbury and Coachella.
