About The-Dream
The-Dream is an American R&B singer, songwriter and producer, born in North Carolina and raised in Atlanta. His solo catalog includes the albums Love/Hate and Love vs. Money and songs such as “Shawty Is a 10,” “Falsetto,” “I Luv Your Girl” and “Rockin’ That Shit.” Under his given name, Terius Nash, he also co-wrote Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
In 2008, he joined Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige on the Heart of the City Tour, performing material from his early solo catalog in arenas across North America. He later revisited songs including “Fancy” and “Rockin’ That Shit” for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert.
