The Exploited in Santa Ana

The Exploited are a Scottish punk band formed in Edinburgh in 1979. Fronted by Wattie Buchan, they helped establish the hard, fast sound associated with UK82 through records including Punk’s Not Dead, Troops of Tomorrow and Beat the Bastards, as well as songs such as “Army Life” and “Dead Cities.” The 1981 Apocalypse Now tour took the band around the UK alongside Discharge and Anti-Nowhere League. The London concert at the Lyceum was documented on the Apocalypse Now live release. The Exploited have also performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
