Stampeders are a Canadian rock group formed in Alberta in 1964. By 1968, the lineup was guitarist Rich Dodson, bassist Ronnie King and drummer Kim Berly. Their best-known recordings include “Sweet City Woman,” “Carry Me,” “Devil You” and a version of “Hit the Road Jack” featuring Wolfman Jack; their debut album was Against the Grain. Stampeders played bars in Calgary and clubs in Toronto before touring extensively in the United States and undertaking a European tour. They also performed at Ontario Place.
