About The Ting Tings
The Ting Tings are an English indie-pop duo formed in Salford in 2007 by Katie White and Jules De Martino. Their debut album, We Started Nothing, introduced the clipped guitars, electronic beats and chant-like hooks of “That’s Not My Name,” “Shut Up and Let Me Go” and “Great DJ.”
In 2008, the duo performed at Glastonbury Festival as We Started Nothing reached a wide audience. The following year they brought the album’s songs to US stages, including a performance at Coachella.
