About Third World
Third World is a Jamaican reggae band formed in Kingston in 1973. The group is known for its version of “Now That We Found Love,” the songs “96 Degrees in the Shade” and “Try Jah Love,” and the album Journey to Addis.
In 1975, Third World toured Europe as the opening act for Bob Marley and the Wailers. Their festival history later included Reggae Sunsplash, where Stevie Wonder joined the band in 1981 to perform “Try Jah Love.”
