About Tihuana
Tihuana is a Brazilian rock band formed in São Paulo in 1999. The group plays rock shaped by hardcore, rap, reggae and Latin percussion, and became known through the album Ilegal and the song “Pula!”. “Tropa de Elite,” released on A Vida Nos Ensina, later became the theme song of José Padilha’s film Elite Squad.
Tihuana performed at Rock in Rio III in 2001, following the release of its debut album. The band later documented its concert repertoire on the anniversary release Tihuana 10 Anos ao Vivo.
