Tom Skinner in Heidelberg

Tom Skinner is an English drummer, composer and producer from London whose work spans experimental jazz, electronic music and rhythm-led improvisation. He co-founded Sons of Kemet and later joined The Smile. His solo catalogue includes music released as Hello Skinny and the album Voices of Bishara, recorded with Shabaka Hutchings, Nubya Garcia, Tom Herbert and Kareem Dayes. Skinner toured internationally for more than a decade with Sons of Kemet, performing in the group’s percussion-heavy lineup at clubs, theatres and jazz festivals. The Smile made its first public appearance in the 2021 Live at Worthy Farm broadcast, followed by concert tours after the release of A Light for Attracting Attention, where Skinner formed the trio with Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.
