About Tommy Guerrero
Tommy Guerrero is an American musician and former professional skateboarder, born in San Francisco in 1966. A member of the Bones Brigade skate team, he later established a solo catalog of instrumental downtempo, funk, soul and jazz built around guitar and bass. His best-known albums include Loose Grooves & Bastard Blues, A Little Bit of Somethin' and Soul Food Taqueria.
A filmed KEXP session documented the compact live-band format he has used while touring internationally, placing his guitar over bass, drums and percussion. He later presented the same ensemble-focused format at a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR Music.
