Toro y Moi is the recording project of American musician and producer Chaz Bear, who began releasing music under the name in 2008. Associated with the early chillwave movement, the project draws on electronic pop, funk, disco and alternative R&B. Albums including Causers of This, Underneath the Pine and Anything in Return produced songs such as “Blessa,” “Still Sound” and “So Many Details.”

Toro y Moi appeared at Coachella in 2011 as Bear adapted his studio work for a touring band. The 2016 concert film and album Live from Trona documented Bear and his band performing in California’s Mojave Desert.
