About Wavves

Wavves is an American noise-pop and surf-punk band formed in San Diego in 2008 by singer and guitarist Nathan Williams. The group first drew attention through its lo-fi recordings, then sharpened its melodic punk sound on the album King of the Beach. Its best-known releases also include Afraid of Heights and V, and songs such as “Post Acid,” “Demon to Lean On” and “Way Too Much.”

In 2011, Wavves and Best Coast took the co-headlining Summer Is Forever tour across North America. After releasing the collaborative album No Life for Me with Cloud Nothings, the two bands mounted a joint tour in 2015; Wavves reunited with Best Coast the following year for Summer Is Forever II.
