Wolf Parade in Ottawa

Wolf Parade are a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Montreal in 2003. Built around songwriters and vocalists Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner, the group became known through the album Apologies to the Queen Mary and songs including “I'll Believe in Anything,” “Shine a Light” and “Modern World.” Later records include At Mount Zoomer, Expo 86, Cry Cry Cry and Thin Mind. Wolf Parade played Coachella in 2006 during the touring cycle for their debut album. Further tours followed At Mount Zoomer and Expo 86 before the band began a hiatus in 2011. They returned in 2016 for reunion concerts that included multi-night runs at Bowery Ballroom in New York and Lee's Palace in Toronto.

Destroyer is a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Vancouver in 1995 and led by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar. The group is known for Bejar’s dense, allusive writing and for albums including Destroyer’s Rubies, Kaputt and Poison Season; “European Oils,” “Chinatown” and “Kaputt” are among its central songs. A concert at the Biltmore Cabaret was documented on the album Destroyer: Live at the Biltmore. In 2011, the touring band performed the arrangements from Kaputt with trumpet and saxophone and appeared at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
