Yoshimi Tendo is a Japanese enka singer born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1954. She made her recording debut in 1972 and is known for songs including “Dōtonbori Ninjō” and “Chindō Monogatari,” which became a central part of her repertoire. In 1993, Yoshimi Tendo made her first appearance on NHK’s year-end Kōhaku Uta Gassen at NHK Hall. She returned to the broadcast repeatedly over the following decades, then marked 50 years since her recording debut with an anniversary concert in 2022 at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA.
