About APO Hiking Society
APO Hiking Society was a Filipino pop group formed in Quezon City in 1969, ultimately established as the trio of Jim Paredes, Boboy Garrovillo and Danny Javier. Their melodic OPM repertoire includes “When I Met You,” “Panalangin,” “Batang-Bata Ka Pa,” “Pumapatak ang Ulan” and “Awit ng Barkada.”
In 1973, the group staged a farewell concert at the Meralco Theater, but later reunited and continued performing for decades. After announcing their retirement, the trio closed that chapter with farewell concerts in 2010, including a performance at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
