About Erland Cooper
Erland Cooper is a Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Orkney whose music draws on ambient, folk and contemporary classical forms. After recording with Erland and the Carnival and The Magnetic North, he released an Orkney-inspired solo trilogy comprising Solan Goose, Sule Skerry and Hether Blether.
Folded Landscapes received its live premiere at the Barbican as a climate-focused orchestral work shaped by electronics and field recordings. He performed the score in collaboration with Scottish Ensemble, the group for which the piece was written.
