Flor de Toloache in Beaverton

Flor de Toloache is an American all-women mariachi ensemble formed in New York in 2008 by singers and instrumentalists Mireya Ramos and Shae Fiol. The group applies mariachi instrumentation and multipart vocals to traditional Latin music, pop and original songs. Its album Las Caras Lindas won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album, while Indestructible further developed its cross-genre repertoire. After contributing vocals to The Arcs’ album Yours, Dreamily., Flor de Toloache joined the band on tour. The ensemble later performed at Newport Folk Festival and presented its violin, trumpet, vihuela and guitarrón arrangements for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert.
