About Generationals
Generationals are an American indie-pop duo formed in New Orleans in 2008 by Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer after their earlier band, The Eames Era, ended. Their debut album, Con Law, introduced the bright guitar pop heard on “When They Fight, They Fight,” and later releases include Actor-Caster, Heza and Alix. “Ten-Twenty-Ten” and “Put a Light On” are among their best-known songs.
The duo performed a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR and toured North American clubs behind records including Heza and Alix, using additional musicians to present the songs as a full band. They also performed at South by Southwest in Austin and headlined New York’s Bowery Ballroom.
