Joo Kraus in Aschaffenburg

Joo Kraus is a German trumpeter and composer, born in 1966, who plays jazz, funk and electronically shaped grooves. He formed Tab Two with bassist Hellmut Hattler; the duo’s jazz-and-hip-hop approach became a central part of his work. His solo catalogue includes the albums Public Jazz Lounge, The Ride and Sueño. During the 1990s, Tab Two toured internationally, performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and opened for Tina Turner on the Wildest Dreams Tour. Joo Kraus subsequently led his own ensembles before reuniting with Hellmut Hattler for a 2011 Tab Two concert at Ulmer Zelt.
