About Maz Jobrani
Maz Jobrani is an Iranian-American stand-up comedian and actor born in Tehran. His comedy draws on immigrant family life, cultural stereotypes and politics. He became widely known through the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour and later released solo specials including Brown & Friendly, I Come in Peace, I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One on TV and Immigrant; his screen work includes the sitcom Superior Donuts.
The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour brought Jobrani together with Ahmed Ahmed and Aron Kader for theatre dates and a Comedy Central special. He filmed Brown & Friendly at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, then recorded Immigrant at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. for its 2017 Netflix release.
