About Obongjayar
Obongjayar is a Nigerian singer and songwriter based in London who records under the name of Steven Umoh. His music encompasses soul, hip-hop, alternative R&B and Afrobeat, carried by a grainy, highly flexible voice. The EP Which Way Is Forward? and debut album Some Nights I Dream of Doors established his solo work, while “Point and Kill” with Little Simz and “adore u” with Fred again.. brought his voice to wider audiences.
In 2021, Obongjayar joined Little Simz at Alexandra Palace in London to perform “Point and Kill.” The following summer, after the release of Some Nights I Dream of Doors, he performed his own set on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury.
