About Seong-Jin Cho
Seong-Jin Cho is a South Korean classical pianist, born in Seoul in 1994. He became the first pianist from his country to win the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2015. His recorded repertoire includes music by Chopin, Debussy, Mozart and Ravel, ranging from solo works to piano concertos.
Seong-Jin Cho made his Carnegie Hall recital debut in 2017, performing Berg, Schubert and Chopin. Later that year he substituted for Lang Lang at the Berliner Philharmonie, playing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Simon Rattle.
