About The Dan Band
The Dan Band is an American comedy-rock group created in Los Angeles by singer and actor Dan Finnerty. The group is known for irreverent covers of pop songs associated with female singers, including “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Lady” and “I Am Woman,” and for wedding-band appearances in the films Old School, Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover.
The Dan Band developed its stage act through recurring performances at Largo in Los Angeles. Those shows established its full-band format, centered on Finnerty, male backing vocalists and choreographed routines. The act was later captured in the concert special The Dan Band: I Am Woman, directed by McG.
