About the feelers

The Feelers are a New Zealand rock band formed in Christchurch in 1993 by singer-guitarist James Reid, drummer Hamish Gee and bassist Matt Thomas. They play guitar-led pop rock and are known for the album Supersystem and songs including “Pressure Man,” “Venus,” “World Away,” “Larger Than Life” and “Fishing for Lisa.”

In 2005, The Feelers opened for R.E.M. at the Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth. The following year they supported the Rolling Stones on the A Bigger Bang Tour at Western Springs in Auckland.
