About The Exponents
The Exponents are a New Zealand rock band formed in Christchurch in 1981 under the name Dance Exponents. Led by singer Jordan Luck, they became known for direct, melodic songs including “Victoria,” “Who Loves Who the Most,” “I'll Say Goodbye (Even Though I'm Blue)” and “Why Does Love Do This to Me.” They adopted the shorter name in the early 1990s.
The Dance Exponents played their first concert at the Hillsborough Tavern in Christchurch in 1981, then toured the pub circuit around the country before spending part of the 1980s based in Australia. After the group disbanded in the 1990s, reunion tours returned those songs to New Zealand stages, still fronted by Jordan Luck.
