About The Gories
The Gories are an American garage-rock trio formed in Detroit in 1986. They are known for a spare, blues-rooted garage-punk sound heard on the albums Houserockin', I Know You Fine, but How You Doin' and Outta Here, and on songs including “Nitroglycerine” and “Thunderbird ESQ.”
In 2009, the original trio reunited after its 1992 breakup, playing the Majestic Theatre with the Oblivians before the two bands toured Europe. The Gories later performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
The concert lineup consists of two guitars and drums: Mick Collins and Dan Kroha sing and play guitar, while Peggy O'Neill plays drums.
