The House of Love are a British alternative-rock band formed in London in 1986 by singer-guitarist Guy Chadwick and guitarist Terry Bickers. Their chiming, noise-edged guitar music became closely associated with Creation Records through the 1988 debut album The House of Love and songs including “Christine,” “Destroy the Heart” and “Shine On.” The band took the 1988 debut on tour before Terry Bickers departed in 1989, after which Simon Walker joined for subsequent concerts. In 2003, Guy Chadwick and Terry Bickers reunited The House of Love for performances in Britain and Europe.
