About Wax Tailor
Wax Tailor is the recording project of French producer and turntablist Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, who launched the name in 2001. He makes sample-based trip-hop and downtempo hip-hop, and is known for the album Tales of the Forgotten Melodies and tracks including “Que Sera” and “Seize the Day.”
The Dusty Rainbow Experience turned the 2012 album Dusty Rainbow from the Dark into an audiovisual concert shaped by its narrated story. Other tours have placed his turntables and sampler at the center of a band setup, and vocalist Charlotte Savary has been a recurring member of the stage lineup.
Outside France, his live work has taken him to Glastonbury Festival in England and the Montreal International Jazz Festival in Canada. In France, he has also headlined the Olympia in Paris.
