About Denis Kozhukhin
Denis Kozhukhin is a Russian classical pianist, born in Nizhny Novgorod in 1986. He won first prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2010, and his recordings include Prokofiev’s Piano Sonatas Nos. 6–8, sonatas by Haydn, and concertos by Grieg and Tchaikovsky.
His 2013 BBC Proms debut brought him to the Royal Albert Hall for Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Donald Runnicles. Later engagements included appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as recitals at Wigmore Hall and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.
