About Matanza
Matanza is a Brazilian rock band formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1996. Its countrycore sound draws on country, hardcore punk and heavy metal, and the band is known for albums including Santa Madre Cassino, Música para Beber e Brigar and A Arte do Insulto, as well as songs such as “Clube dos Canalhas” and “Pé na Porta, Soco na Cara.”
In 2008, Matanza recorded the concert release MTV Apresenta Matanza at Hangar 110 in São Paulo. A decade later, the band ended its farewell tour with its final concert at Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro.
