About Matt and Kim
Matt and Kim are an American indie-pop duo formed in Brooklyn in 2004 by Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino. Their keyboard-and-drums sound is represented by songs including “Daylight,” “Cameras” and “Let’s Go,” while the album Grand became a central part of their catalogue.
Matt and Kim played Coachella in 2010 and Lollapalooza in 2013 during years of North American touring. A knee injury Schifino suffered onstage interrupted their 2017 schedule, but the duo returned to touring in 2018 and mounted the Grand 10 Year Celebration Tour in 2019.
Their concerts use a two-person setup: Matt Johnson handles keyboards and vocals, while Kim Schifino plays drums.
