About Mew
Mew is a Danish alternative-rock band formed in 1994. Their music draws on dream pop and progressive rock, and they are known for the albums Frengers and And the Glass Handed Kites, as well as songs including “Am I Wry? No,” “Comforting Sounds” and “The Zookeeper’s Boy.”
In 2005, Mew supported R.E.M. on European dates during the period surrounding And the Glass Handed Kites. The concert film Live in Copenhagen later documented the band performing at Store Vega.
Mew returned repeatedly to Roskilde Festival and also performed at Japan’s Summer Sonic.
