About Old Man Gloom
Old Man Gloom is an American experimental metal band formed in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1999 by Aaron Turner and Santos Montano. The group’s best-known lineup also included Nate Newton and Caleb Scofield, connecting it to Isis, Converge and Cave In. Its dense mix of sludge, doom, post-metal and noise runs through albums including Seminar II, Seminar III: Zozobra, Christmas, No and The Ape of God.
Old Man Gloom played Roadburn Festival in Tilburg in 2014, part of the band’s relatively infrequent European live history. Four years later, the band performed at the Royale in Boston during a memorial benefit for Caleb Scofield.
