About Raimundos
Raimundos are a Brazilian rock band formed in Brasília in 1987. They play hardcore punk and alternative rock shaped by the rhythms and irreverent language of forró. Albums including Lavô Tá Novo and Só no Forévis established songs such as “Eu Quero Ver o Oco” and “Mulher de Fases.”
In the 1990s, Raimundos opened Brazilian concerts for the Ramones, the band that inspired part of their name. They later documented their stage set on MTV ao Vivo, released in 2000, and performed at Rock in Rio in 2001.
