About The Sounds
The Sounds are a Swedish rock band formed in Helsingborg in 1998 and fronted by singer Maja Ivarsson. Their music draws on new wave, punk and indie rock. The debut album Living in America and its title track established their sound, while Dying to Say This to You produced songs including “Tony the Beat” and “Painted by Numbers.”
The Sounds played the Vans Warped Tour in 2004 and returned in 2006. Three years later, they toured North American amphitheatres as an opening act for No Doubt.
