About Ulrich Schnauss
Ulrich Schnauss is a German electronic musician and producer, born in Kiel in 1977. He makes melodic ambient electronica informed by shoegaze and Berlin-school synthesis, and is known for the albums Far Away Trains Passing By, A Strangely Isolated Place and Goodbye.
In 2014, Ulrich Schnauss joined Tangerine Dream as a keyboardist and performed with the group until 2020. He took part in the improvised concert pieces that the band called “sessions”; performances recorded in Budapest and Hong Kong became The Sessions I.
