About Voces8
VOCES8 is a British vocal ensemble formed in 2003 by brothers Barnaby and Paul Smith. The eight singers perform unaccompanied repertoire that ranges across Renaissance polyphony, contemporary classical music, jazz and pop arrangements. Their recordings include Lux, After Silence and Infinity, as well as Christopher Tin’s The Lost Birds.
VOCES8 has presented its vocal repertoire at Wigmore Hall in London and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. When performances moved online in 2020, the ensemble launched the Live From London festival; its concerts in the series were broadcast from the VOCES8 Centre.
