About Archers Of Loaf
Archers Of Loaf are an American indie-rock band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1991. Their noisy, angular guitar sound became closely associated with 1990s college rock through albums including Icky Mettle and Vee Vee, and songs such as “Web in Front” and “Harnessed in Slums.” After returning to performance, they released Reason in Decline in 2022.
Archers Of Loaf reunited in 2011 for an unannounced set at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, where they opened for The Love Language. The original lineup then returned to clubs and festivals, performing at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago that summer and at Primavera Sound in Barcelona the following year.
