About Gorgoroth
Gorgoroth is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Bergen in 1992 by guitarist Infernus. The group became known through albums including Pentagram, Antichrist, Under the Sign of Hell and Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam, pairing raw, abrasive metal with explicitly Satanic themes.
In 2004, Gorgoroth staged and filmed Black Mass Krakow 2004 at a television studio in Kraków. Sheep heads, animal blood and nude models posed on crosses prompted a police investigation in Poland, and the recording was later released as a concert DVD.
The band also performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo.
