About Immortal
Immortal is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Bergen in 1991 by Abbath and Demonaz. The band built its identity around the fictional frozen realm of Blashyrkh and is known for albums including Pure Holocaust, At the Heart of Winter and Sons of Northern Darkness.
After re-forming in 2006, Immortal returned to the stage on the 7 Dates of Blashyrkh tour, which included an appearance at Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo. A performance from that run was filmed at Wacken Open Air and later released as the concert video The Seventh Date of Blashyrkh.
